This page is dedicated to a progress report on the design & production of each of the announced Pullman "Heavyweight" passenger cars as they are developed. Included will be original source drawings, 3D CAD renderings, and photos of the cars as available.
Additionally, there is a comment "feedback" insert where you may critique and correct as necessary.
TRUCKS
2-AXLE RPO 37" WHEELSET
3-AXLE PULLMAND STANDARD PASSENGER TRUCK
These two trucks, 2-axle and 3-axle, are being developed to use 33" metal wheels from Fox Valley. The frames will be produced first in RP acrylic for strength testing. Then, if necessary, a pewter casting will be produced for the side frames only. Isolation of electrical functions will be developed if needed.
It is understood that the Pullman standard was 37" for passenger wheels. But, we feel confident that the 2" difference in radius (0.0091") will not be noticed by the modeler.
CAD 3D drawing will appear here. Stay Tuned!

PRR UNIQUE BOX UNDERFRAME CLICK ON DRAWING TO MAKE SPECIAL ORDER
The PRR elected to use its own design of box frame girders rather than the Pullman design. Although this is specific to the PRR, only finished models will receive this underframe option. The selection of the PRR underframe will require a SPECIAL ORDER. If addional cost is required, it will be quoted before the order is entered.
