EC-2 POWER SUBSTATION A SUBSTATION is a high-voltage electric system facility. It is used to switch generators, equipment, and circuits or lines in and out of a system. It also is used to change AC voltages from one level to another, and/or change alternating current to direct current or direct current to alternating current. Some substations are small with little more than a transformer and associated switches.
The SEARAILS EC-2 contains both etched and cast components; 4 CAST RESIN TRANSFORMERS, 2 CAST RESIN CONVERTORS, 4 ETCHED STAINLESS POWER DROPS & TOWERS, ETCHED STAINLESS FENCE and GATES.
EC-3 POWER TRANSMISSION TOWER
The basic role of this structure is to safely and effectively accommodate high voltage transmission lines, or conductors. The metal structures which keep the transmission lines off the ground are powertransmission towers. These structures help facilitate the transportation of energy from the generating source to the substations where power is distributed. Every powertransmissiontower is not built the same. They can vary in design and height. The variances are often affected by factors such as weather conditions and conductor type.
